I was quite happy with the Honda Fes125 S-Wing but some blind bint drove into me and it got written off. With the insurance money I got a 2012 Piaggio X10 350 IE. It's quite impressive in my opinion. It's 226cm long and weighs a hundred tons but handles really well. I only commute 16 miles a day so don't need anything bigger, it's 30mph all the way. Basic service carried out yesterday and no issues. A bit of a pig to get the panels off to get right inside but I'll get used to that. No good for wheelies or stoppies but I'm a grown up now.

Love a scoot for the commute! Regret selling my SH300!

Nowt wrong with scoots if you have an open mind. I regularly ride with a group that includes 3 maxi scoots and I'm particularly envious of the comfort, weather protection and cavernous storage.

Best thing to ride through winter-60 miles each way behind a big screen, holding heated grips. Stay warm(ish) and dry (Just my elbows on my jacket get wet if it rains). Don't give a toss about salt on the roads as all hidden or protected by the bodywork so nothing to ruin cosmetically. Add in 85 mpg and easy servicing and it's cheap to run.

Means I can hand I my vagina and be Bertie Big Bollocks on my RC8, 900SS, RS250 or whatever else I want to ride come the warmer weather.
