    Had a bit of a rethink on this subect-I do like the KTM 790, although not sure I'd buy one over an Aprilia RSV-R though.

    It also gave a straight inlet tract which aids gas flow with carbs.

    As you narrow an in-line V you end up with a problem placing the carbs.

    The VT engine was also a total PITA to service compared with the CX500. I could do a full service on my old CX in 45 mins.
