    anyone know which of the many incarnations of Vincent this is? TIA

    FWIW its going under the hammer in a couple of months so time to raid the piggy bank?.....its actually rougher than the photo makes it look no idea if it runs, I guess it might, front brake conversion is siezed solid

    Seems it might be the black shadow ...it has the 150mph clock and black engine....

    Like he said- Black cases and the big clock denote a Black Shadow. No “HRD” logo makes it usually a Series C, I think.

    But these things get changed around and I’m no expert.

    The thing hanging down under the gearbox looks like an electric start conversion.

    Also looks like the kickstart boss is blanked off.

    The Black Shadow i saw at auction a while back was ropey as fuck and that went for over 40K

    Not to mention front disk brake. I can't recall those being fitted from the factory.

    The main part of the value is in it being a Vincent.

    The alterations and scruffy condition won’t take all that much away from it.

    theres plenty of other stuff there too which looks ropey and will presumably be overvalued as well. Auctions in May sometime...the front brake is seized solid and I believe as the age profile of vincent owners exceeds even this place an electric start is considered ok as the members were putting their hips out trying to start the things
