So why is it still not charging? Do i have 2 faulty reg/recs?

As nidge says every 1k Rpm will give a rise in voltage. Trick is to keep the revs at a steady RPM say 4k rpm and check all three phases are the same. Revving the engine at different RPM's on each phase will give false readings. Also as a secondary check turn off the ignition and with a probe on each phase and the meter on resistance [5 oclock] put your other probe on the chassis you should get a zero reading or open circuit this means your stator is not going to ground. So if voltage is good and no resistance you have a good stator.

If I hold it steady at highish revs until it hits 60v, i can move the probes around to the different combos a+b, B+c and a+c, and the readout stays the same. Put it on the bleeper mode with the ignition off and earth the other probe,no bleeps. So the stator is okay?

Thanks. My meter only seems to beep for continuity on the diode setting? I think the father-in-law has a more comprehensive meter so will try that when i'm more mobile again.

Yes indeedy. Put your meter on 2 ohms to test the Rectifiers should get a resistance of less than 1 ohm but they should be the same for all the wires

I got the same readings on all phase wires from both reg/recs, 5.78, give or take a few, the same as he got in the video? Plug the reg/rec back into the loom and i'm still only getting 11.86 across the terminals when its running. Where the hell are my volts going!

Well if the stator and Reg/Rec is good you need to check all the connectors are clean and corrosion [green crud] free, check you have a good earth from battery to chassis and check the positive has a good connection. Could be simply a bad connection somewhere. If you look at the wiring diagram you will see the live from the Reg/rec does not go direct to the battery it goes via the main fuse check the connections there as well.
