    Does it ever go off? I've just eaten one with a 2013 date on it... Tasted fine.

    Not really, no. I've also eaten out of date Christmas pud in the past and not had any dramas.

    I only ever buy them cheap after Christmas then shove 'em in a cupboard to be discovered a few years later. They're fine.
