My work laptop running windows 10 turns goes to sleep whenever it is in use but nothing is typed or the mouse not moved and it does this every time but never after the same amount of time. Even if I turn off any sleep options and set it to always on. I've looked at every self help page on the internet as it appears it is a thing with some windows 10 computers. I can answer a phone call and whilst talking the PC turns off and I have to re-enter my password, before I throw it out the window has anyone else experienced this and manage to solve it ?

Might be in the BIOS/Boot up settings. Has it always done this ?

When you say it turns off, do you mean goes to sleep or that it turns off?

If it turns off then it’s possible it could be an overheating/fan issue.

Seen something about this before. I'll have to think about it but I've a residual about power saving being enabled in something like your wifi device. ipv4 or something??

Much as I'd like to catch it for myself as it exits through your window, a clean reinstall of windows can solve many issues. So can using something like IObit for updating all your drivers, but IIRC you have to be careful about that piece of software.

Sorry-long time ago I had any driver & device issues-IMLE win 10 on clean install just finds them, even on really old kit.

As wheelnut says, can you hear the fan running on boot up or when really taxing it? Dog hair can be a right bastard too.
