Apply pressure to the brake lever, loosen the nipple, fluid travels up pipe, watch pipe for air bubbles, when you get no more air bubbles tighten the nipple, repeat this process until no air comes out for at least three pumps of the lever. Pull the brake lever slowly, keep the end of the pipe in the jam jar submerged in brake fluid.

It's harder to explain than do.

    1. Open reservoir and top up fluid.
    2. Put ring spanner over bleed nipple.
    3. Put tube over bleed nipple and open end into jar.
    4. Open bleed nipple.
    5. Push lever full length of travel and hold.
    6. Tighten bleed nipple.
    7. Repeat steps 4-6 until no air is seen entering the bleed tube.
    8. Keep reservoir topped up during this process.

If you buy one of those cheap orange tubes, you can just keep pumping as it acts as a non return valve and doesn't let air get sucked back in.
