With speed limiters due to be mandatory for cars, how long do you think it is before motorcycles have speed limiters too?

(Posted in Staying Alive, because it’s a road safety measure.)

Edited to add that Brexit makes no difference, because the Department for Transport has said it will adopt the same measures irrespective of whether/when we leave the EU.

I think it’ll be a while, bikes need throttle control for safety right? As in, you use it to stop the bike tipping.

I don’t think it’ll happen with cars. At least not mandatory/can turn it off like stop start. Otherwise the car industry is fucked and they are too rich to let themselves get fucked.

Probably not long for Dynojet to develop one and for it to ruin insurance quotes

    FEMA and BMF position:
"The stated position of FEMA and the BMF is that the most we would accept is throttle resistance increasing as the limit is exceeded and that it must leave control of speed in riders’ hands".

    Geneva Convention, innit?

"The driver of a vehicle shall at all times have its speed under control"
