It already looks like its going to be a very interesting season but it'll take another couple of rounds to see a proper hierarchy forming

I think Redding has a disadvantage of lack of recent time on UK tracks on bikes with no electronics. He's certainly going to be in the mix though.

Best BSB season for a while I reckon

In his defence, most of the field have been riding Oulton for 10+ years, since their club racing days. His first time. Donington will be a level playing field. Silverstone will be his best track. I saw him win epic Moto2 race there.

He'd raced at all of the 4 so far.

He wouldn't win at Oulton first time there

Jesus, wish I was that average! 😂

For someone who hasnít ridden a non-GP circuit for many years on a new bike, I think heís performing pretty well.
Plenty of long term UK riders on good machines behind him.

Ed Zackerly. And 2 ex WSB riders way down the field.

It's average in a relative context of course. Especially when you look at Bautistas results in WSB. Redding isn't doing anything special or spectacular, 3rd of 3 in a Ducati context on the weekend, plenty of seconds off the lead 2...

It was felt by many he'd run away with it "He gave Marquez run for his money back in Moto2..." etc etc...

It's not like he's 35 and coming back in a bit old and a bit tired... He's young enough that he should be straight on the pace IMO.

We can debate 'oh he's never ridden the circuit before' but he's had plenty of laps this weekend and plenty of bike time on it. It's not like Brookes and Bridewell have ridden a V4 there... (but yes they've ridden Oulton)

    Its comparing apples and pears.
BSB doesn't have the electronics of WSB, Redding said he was targeting top 6 to start with. In that first race yesterday he was saying he was having trouble getting the corner speed he needed. Hickman couldn't get near him on the brakes but Redding was "parking it" through the corner. All the pundits agreed that he was making a top job of it so far.

Redding gets a big from me.

What's happened to young Bradley Ray? he was setting the world alight this time last year?

There was a load of Swingarm discussions on their bikes, but then Hicken said something along the lines of "we could swap them but they wouldn't even notice"... but i didn't quite know how to take that.
