Funny you should pop up GRGR2 as a topic... I took the subtitled commentary ride bit with me to show as a video on the screen in the Shiny Side Up tent on our Tour down in New Zealand back in Feb / early Mar.

And a lot of people said some very nice things about it. Personally, I think it's a pretty good video (though I still wouldn't have overtaken the horses on the wrong side of a blind crest even if I was following the camera vehicle at the time )

Which makes it all the more odd that it seems to have vanished from the DfT website, where it was previously a download.

As it seems to be 'abandonware', I feel that popping it up on YouTube may be warranted.

Drop them an email, ask whether they intend to reinstate it - it could be just an oversight.

I've got no broadband at the moment which is tedious...

...but the last known download address for the GRGR pair of DVDs was www.highways.gov.uk/grgr2 - and that's throwing up an error at the moment.

I also did a fairly thorough Google back in Jan because I wanted to give people in NZ a link where they could get their own download and couldn't find it online anywhere official.

What did you need subtitles for? I didn't think Glenn's Redcar accent was that bad?

Try interpreting ANY accent in a tent against a background of GSX-R on a wheelie machine and Harleys doing stunts

There isn't such a thing as a Redcar accent.
I think people would have more difficulty understanding some of the auto-generated sub-titles.
