I have acquired a fruit press, which would be great if it had the press plate, which it doesn't. The price, however, reflected this.
What it needs is a round plug, 5 11/16ths of an inch in diameter or less, 5 5/8ths would be ideal. Material....something that wont absorb fruit juice...hardwood, plastic, aluminium, whatever is good for you. Happy to pay a reasonable fee!
I could cut one in wood, but it would not be a great fit......

I might have an old catering chopping board that could be cut to size. I'll look for later tonight.

    And metric measurements please.

I'm guessing it needs to be a tapered plug? Otherwise it has to be absolutely exact.

It doesn't need to quote Shakespeare...I can do that.

Seriously...its sort of material dependant...wood might need to be 3'4 of an inch..steel ..3mm.
As long as it isn't going to bend....fine.

If you can provide a dimensioned drawing I would happily make something.

Pictures would be handy. What would it have been made from originally?

It was just a joke. Or should I say "almost"...

Anyway, if you want something made, let me know the full dimensions and ideally, spec of the mechanism or at least a picture.

Pictures will help....do some shortly via my phone.....as to what it was made of....not sure but probably steel as most of the rest is....It isn't a precision tool, fruit that gets squished out of the way will get sorted on the second pass.
    All very low tech!
When swmbo and her mother have stopped fighting I will go and get some photos.
