Iíve just been out for a ride, Iím starting to find the wind noise from my helmet too much
I have a Shark of some description, canít remember the model, but itís a foggy anniversary replica.nice lid but a bit noisy.
I donít remember my old HJC being as noisy.
What do you all recommend, obviously weíd all like an Arai rx7, but canít afford one!

Arai can be noisy mate so dont judge wind noise by price tag

One that fits and meets all the required safety standards.

If noise is an issue wear ear plugs.

My Shark Speed R is quieter than my Arai was. A lot can depend on model shape as well. I never ride without ear plugs though

Iím wondering whether the fact this bike has a ďdouble bubbleĒ screen effects the air flow around my head and makes it noisier than the last bike I used it on.

If it causes turbulence at head-height, that could well make it far worse. Could you gaffer tape an old visor onto it to alter the shape and see what the effect is?

On the ZX636 with a double bubble screen i had an Arai Astro that was perfect, moved to a GS1150 and got wobble head from turbulence so switched to an Arai Tour X with a peak that smoothed it all out

When i bought the Multistrada i have worn both helmets and both work without any turbulence and head wobble so i switch between them although i usually wear the peaked one most of the time as it helps keep the sun from my right eye that doesnt have a fully working eyelid as a result of bells palsy. The Astro comes out in winter as the Fog City insert is perfect for cold weather riding and better than the pinlocks in the Tour X

Schuberth helmets are alleged to be quieter but also have a look at the Shoei Neotec as thats what plod riders use for all day work although its a flip front they reckon on being better in noise stakes but wear earplugs (as i always do)

My BMW System (6?) is the quietest lid I've ever had. Only wore earplugs for longer journeys.
