And now you know why I was 'selective' about the declaration to the ins co.
If however you use it on the road on a regular basis then you're a cuddly wuddly and deserve the full weight of the law dropping on you.
And I bought my bike 'tracked up' as well. But if I were to track something decent I'd drop a rep onto it to save the lights and quite possibly very expensive fairing. Not because I rlac, but you never know what somebody else will do.

Itíll just be a few miles to shake it down and maybe the odd run out mid week if the weather is nice.

It helps protect the bike in the event of a crash. If you're happy to replace loads of road bodywork, tank, instruments etc that's fine for you, but not everybody else is.

My track bike is road registered and has a daytime MoT. All that means is no lights or indicators. Standard rear plate and reflector, that's all that's needed. Speedo is not an MoT item. Then insure as a road bike with declared mods.
