My first ever bike trip was a somewhat chilly trip to Le Mans for the 24 hour bike race. Awesome but virtually no sleep. The combination of cold and the European habbit of bouncing the bikes of the rev limiter until they blow up!! LOL

    Awesome sounding trip

Wasn't 2002 by any chance... so cold and wet I slept in my leathers... in the sleeping bag.

I think it was 2003, just before easter. Don't remember it being wet, just damned cold! (But it was April!!) And, annoyingly, the week before I got my first Blackbird

Doing this in two weeks time, just won't be any racing on. Got a nice twisty route there and back over three days. My Le Mans to Le Mans, suspect I will be a bit slower as about an hour on the Guzzi is all my wrists, knees and arse can stand.

I can't remember what race it was, but I think it was Donnington, a bunch of lads had an improvised drag strip going in the camp site, it wasn't the safest racing I've seen.

I went to a PB Frenzy at Donington where they were doing that, several very drunk and helmetless people fell off. It was freezing too, so some bright spark set the bogs on fire and everyone huddled round to keep warm.

If it was the GP I went to at Donington, setting the bogs on fire would have been doing them a favour, on the Sunday morning the ones in the campsite were over flowing with poo, there were a couple of Transits still smouldering from the night before, loads of burnt out mopeds and then a Transit minibus turned up, a load of teenagers piled out of it and then one of them torched it. I think it was 1992 or 3.
