    Hello,
So I was coming home from work yesterday, bike was fine when I set off, stopped off at a shop and when I came to start it again it failed to start.
When I turn the key my rev counter goes up slightly and my neutral light comes on, however when I press the ignition both of these completely cut out and the engine doesn't attempt to start, this is why I assume its an electrical issue.
Anyway so I've took the battery out, on its own it measures at 12.65v, charging it for maybe 30-45 minutes now as its apparently not at full charge (but near).
When I check the voltage across the battery with the bike electrics on the maximum was 9.4v roughly, however it took a very long time for the voltage to climb to this value (maybe a few minutes).
Anyone have an idea of the issue here or what I should check next?

Either the battery is dead or its connections are loose (most probably the former).
