Most bikes will start if the stand is up, if on the side stand and in neutral, or the in gear if the stand is up (?) And the clutch is pulled. This takes inputs from the side stand switch, a switch in the clutch lever, and the neutral light switch, runs them through a diode and gives the result to the ECM which either supplies power or doesn't. There may have been safety considerations (you or the bikes engine) in mind when they didn't fit that on your bike... Or they may have just taken the opportunity to save 50p on components and make a simpler circuit.

Tbh, I'd really suggest you leave it be.
Yeah I know it's more advanced... Yeah I'll probably just leave it tbh

Iím telling you to just start it and ride off.

New bikes or old, itís the best way to warm it up.

All my Suzukis would start in neutral with sidestand down, but had to pull the clutch in. But the new one will start without the clutch, as long as it's in neutral
