Well, the only person losing out there is you - they( arguably ) make some of the most capable and fun bikes out there , and that's a fact

Agreed, and if I did get a GT and something should go to make room for it, can't currently see it being the 790, I like it far too much., err,
To me it's the same sort of bike as my first 350LC was to me in the 80s , err, except faster, better handling, stopping , nicer round town, comfier, uses 50% of the fuel and no two stroke oil- I still love the LCs though, just in a different way

    Was it Orange?

Seriously though, I defy anyone to take a 790 out for a blast on road or track and not come back with a big smile on their face. Its like riding a 250 with a litre v twin in it.

    Yes it was Orange

I don't doubt they're good bikes, but I don't want to buy a bike I find ugly, though at the moment I'm not riding a road bike enough to make buying a new one worth while.

    I'm more tempted by this

Though the price is a bit eye watering

That 2T looks interesting - will read up on that later

Ironically, I'm now in the position where the 790 is almost twice the value of the previous Tiger 800, but I'm doing about 10% of the miles on it. The Tiger was a tool, the KTM is a toy. Life's too short not to have the odd toy though

It's a thing of beauty in the flesh (well plastic), there was one at the London Bike Show, my mate was fawniing over the 790 and whether to get one, then I spotted the 300, it really is lovely, I think the price is over £7K though, and the first thing I'm going to do is thrash it through mud and wet sand, like my last new bike it'll look very second hand, very quickly.

    Actual price £8649.00 (gulp)

And then there's the powerparts, I think I could spend another £2K on them, before you know it I've gone full Weeksy

I've just found that Jim Aims are selling them for £6749, which is more sensible

I'm hoping the Husky 701 fartpilen thing does the same that's 9k I think rrp
