If in doubt I would go with OEM. I have used K&N in the past with no issues. 👍

Watch out for no-name sellers on eBay... prime source of counterfeit parts including filters.

Used HiFlo on pretty much all my bikes over the last 20 years and never had a problem and my SH300 was running well with 88k on it when I sold it.. Normally buy from M&P on eBay rather than someone with a name like Bike-Bitz or suchlike as I've heard stories of cheap chinese filters with brand names on? Dunno if there's any truth in it, but hopefully a dealer wont buy from those sources? I most use good oil, Motul full ester synth being the oil of choice.

A filter is pretty much a filter, it's the oil you're putting through it you should think about.

Usually go for a K&N, primarily for the handy nut they weld on the bottom of them which comes in handy when you can't hammer a screwdriver through the side due to the location of the filter.

Find yours here. Good quality filters in my view and somewhat cheaper than OEM ones where the name tag doubles the price

I had to put some oil in the TT haldex recently
30 quid for 250ml. I'm not complaining about the price of decent bike oil and filters again.

Oil for my car is over a hundred quid a change, just for the fluid.

Only needs doing every 20,000 miles though

I think I've been spoilt by running too many shit boxes on 50p/l Dino oil over the years.
