If I ever have to change the front sprocket I'll have a look... you've got to take the engine cover off!

Similar to the fun when changing a t140 (and other old brits) front sprocket: remove l/h exhaust and footrest assembly, remove primary cover, remove entire clutch assembly, and the sprocket cover is now accessible....

What I'm saying is, don't go dicking about with downloaded maps if you don't know what's inside it.

Maybe it fits the Enfield as a performance upgrade?

On the Tiger Cub and BSA C15, you had to split the crankcase to get to the gearbox sprocket.

Ah, this is a UCE so no separate gearbox or clutch... First bike I've ever had with the drive chain on the right hand side too!

The wife mentioned she wanted a go, but wouldn't ride it without a mirror.

So I've just fitted one of these...

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycl...gAAOSwb1JbaAv9

The RE handle bars have welded nuts in them, so I couldn't use the slot in expanded thing it came with, so for now it bolted to the outside of the original bar end weight.

    Looks good for 13.

I've also put some black anodised plugs in the holes where the original mirrors would have been.

    I still love it.

The mirror kinds of works. You can see if there's something behind, but not what it is there's too many vibes!

The front disc is defo warped, so that's something for pay day.

Gave the engine side covers a quick go with the autosol, that stuff works miracles. No effort, lots of shine!

I've ridden my Tiger 800XC to work today, the first time I've place a leg over it since I bought the Bullet.

It felt really strange, all the controls are so much heavier and the foot pegs so far back, but the biggest difference is the gearbox.

The RE box is so much smoother than the Trumpet and imho the EFI is less snatchy on the Bullet too.

If I hadn't had to tackle the M1 at rush hour I'd have almost certainly taken the Enfield.

I'm only 41, whats wrong with me?

Mid life crisis 10 years early😄I get my Army pension in 2 years so a lump sum and could be tempted by one of these. Need to see if yours lasts that long first but I have reservations 😎

I think it wouldn't be half the bike it is without the 'goldie' style silencer.

It falls into the same category as Hardley's where excessive noise is concerned, no one seems to mind.

It's a long stroke single and it sounds very much like a proper classic. Everyone turns and looks, I've seen more trafpol on this bike than any other I've owned and none of them seem to care.

It's 5 years old and the bright work seems to be holding up well, the engine paint would put a Ducati to shame. There's a few chips in the forest green metallic paint on the tank, forks and side boxes. I could do with finding a touch up pen, but google isn't giving up the goods.

The rims and spokes are very high quality, especially the spokes when compared to the ones on my Tiger which are really manky for half the mileage.

The only flaws so far are a warped front disc and the indicator idiot light has given up the ghost.

    New EBC disc fitted.

Seem's you can only get Indian home market ones made out of monkey metal, EBC or possibly a Lucas TRW.

I wouldn't normally shit on EBC never mind buy it, but it had to be better than the OEM one. I could only find one supplier of the TRW disc and they were out of stock.

Rode it to work today (because the Tiger wouldn't start), it's still beading in so can't really comment on stopping power, but at least it's not warped!

A bloke is coming to buy my Ducati on Saturday, so I might have a few spare pennies to throw at the RE to make it more my own
