    5 lap race, c'mon.
Every time I see/hear electric racing I get this image of a load of blokes on a bank with the radio controls.

I watched the race, it was a good race, it had to be red flagged because one of the 300KG bikes destroyed an air fence.
The noise was a bit weird, but it was genuine racing with riders trying hard on very heavy bikes - get used to it, it's the future.

I wonder if they use special tyres?

I'd imagine a normal MotoGP spec slick is designed to work with a 157kg bike rather than a 300kg one?

I could see the rubber on Smith's tyres peeling off on hard corners.

Bloody hell, there's some top (admittedly past and older) names on that list?

300kgs? Jesus, that's a lot to haul around

Hope they open it up making it an open class so more manufacturers get involved, you know, like a prototype class

I think it is a prototype class, apparently the minimum weight for the class is 260KG, but no one can get anywhere near that, so the bikes weigh 300KG, I think they're about 140bhp, must be like racing a Z1300.

Edit: I'm wrong, everyone is on the same bike.

That is one hell of a seat then. Bagsy behind Maria Herrara
