I know they are cost effective rather being top draw leathers ... but I have just bought some RST leather jeans / trousers....
Fit is fine and the leather panels are well put together. But some of the stitching on the stretch panels is not so well done ...

Anyone had experience of RST ... or am I just being over fussy?
Should i have bought the discounted Wolf jeans instead ....?
    Thanks

They're perfectly acceptable. We have 1 of their suits, RST Tractech version 2.

When RST first came to the UK market it was all cheap shit (imho) made in Pakistani sweatshops.

The recent stuff looks well enough made and they offer discounts to ACU license holders, that combined with it being pretty affordable to start with means you see a lot of it at uk racetracks.

I'd have to compare it like for like with something else before making a decision to buy RST.

You see a lot of RST suits on UK trackdays, some of it looks to have been crash tested and held up okay.

Dunno about their leathers, but the fabric stuff I bought 3 years ago was shite. Waterproof for about a week and the zips were sticky - finally stuck once too oftenand broke.
I'm back to IXS for the jacket and will do the same with the damp-crotch trousers when I can afford 'em.

    Just remembered!

I bought a vented/mesh textile 2pc suit for touring Fronch when it was very very warm.

It worked ok, however after a week in the sun the black textiles became more of a very dark brown. Only really noticeable when you hang them up to my unfaded winter AlpineStars textiles.

I ran out of skill crashed in a set...

Some stitching wore through, and opened slightly, but it didn't run. It was worn through rather than burst open.

Leather wore a bit, no holes, just a bit worn, but then it had my fat ass in it pushing it along the tarmac at about 70-80mph.

Not the best fit in the world, a bit of a odd shape, either me or the leathers, but all in all, for the money they seemed ok tbh.

As a matter of interest, what would you buy instead ...

I'm not in the the market for MTM, or Dainese Italian super race crouch leather, with air bags....
I know Furygan seems to have a good reputation ... but there are always an odd fit!

I am tending to look on-line at SportbikeShop ... just because returns are easy. Went to P&H at teh weekend and they only had Dainese leather pants in ... and all hyper race stylee...
I was looking for something more road use. It doesn't have to have sliders ... or the barnding in big F*** of letters down the leg ...

As I meantioned Wolf leather pants looked ok ... I take it Wolf as a company have gone tits up?
textile could be one route ... but as everything now seems to have detactable waterproof liners, they all seem like beginners fat suits ....

I bought a set of Dainese Assen two piece leathers for £600 at the London Bike Show from Alpha Motorcycles in Leigh on Sea, I'm very happy with them, I use them for both road and track
    What's your budget?
I've also got a Berik one piece which is good and I've seen some bargain Berik leathers about

    Have you considered 2nd hand?

loads of cheap leathers on t'bay. I often see stuff still with tags on or listed as worn once, etc... it all goes for buttons.

Yep. Have the two piece rst ‘Slice’ set. Jacket is a perfect fit. Trousers are now a bit too big. But that’s because I’ve lost a stone since I bought them. Had them for five years and they still look good, but haven’t been down the road thankfully. Zips for the liners need to be used a bit carefully, but for the money I think they’re good value.
