So why did you ask? And as we drive on the left, giving way to the right would be ridiculous.

The UK has not signed up to the Vienna convention at all and in any case I'm not aware that it makes any stipulation as to unmarked junctions. Road signs yes......

    All answers are right...
Even with 'priority' it still pays to be careful! Being 'right' doesn't stop crashes.

    Nor does being 'left'.

As I quoted on Val's previous thread, the convention says*
Contracting Parties or sub-divisions thereof in whose territories traffic keeps to the left shall be free to regulate the right of way at intersections as they see fit.
Therefore even if we'd ratified their treaty, as far as the UN are concerned regarding traffic priorities, our government could have let us do whatever we like, and still comply with their convention.

    *yes, I have read it.

The bike is indicating left, so should go left.

    All answers are right...
There is a correct answer, and it is the highway code. The UK does implement the viena convention on road traffic, but UK drives on different side on the road and does not have un regulated junctions.

    UK did ratify convention. https://treaties.un.org/Pages/ViewDe...mtdsg3&lang=en

    Now what is the point?

Val if you want to make any point, maybe better to point out different EU countries priorities such as, the French Proirity a droit as many here don't understand it.

You are right the UK has implemented Viena convention, it appears priority to the right is optional for left hand roads.

NZ also drives on left and have implemented priority to the right. There are thousands of unregulated junctions in the UK.
