At a junction where no road has priority, I mean umarked and uncontrolled road crossing of two equal standard roads who goes first and what is the order of crossing in the below scenarios:

    Case 1:

    Case 2:

Case 1 - I've never seen a road junction like this in the UK, so I doubt if there's UK law for it.
Case 2 - There's clearly a give way marking on the side road (where the motorcycle is coming from)

The bottom one has a give way triangle, that should be a clue.

Case 1: Which ever of the cars is a BMW. Obviously.

Case 2: As others have said, there's a Give Way marking. Hopefully self preservation* would as kick in.

    * When I were a lad this was called common sense. Not so damn common these days it would appear.

. In Val’s original post, the triangle seems to have been “greyed” out. To make things more difficult? Did that happen with the top pic as well? As said, I can’t remember seeing a junction like that is the UK.

    1. All stop, display indecision, all three move, all three immediately stop, random one goes and stops, all drivers look at each other and giggle.......

    2. It's a T junction.

It's about time that Val told us what he thought the answer is. Then everyone else can shoot him down in flames.

My view on number 1 is that Car 3 would have right of way as if we use the give way to the right rule, he has no one to give way to. It should be car 2 as he/she is the only one with the decency to have a right hand drive car.
Number 2 is more clear cut as it's a T junction and vehicles on the joining road would yield to those already on the main road.

Unless he's changed his opinion since he posted the thread I linked to, Val thinks everyone should give way to traffic approaching from the right.

After the near misses I have read the UK Highway Code in details and found that UK has accepted Priority of the right ONLY for the roundabouts. Means that on any other unregulated intesections like T-junctions in the UK nobody knows who will go first the red car or the truck in the example below, am I right?

In Europe or NZ the red car will go first always. Hence my near misses wrongly assuming I can go

If you have nothing else to do you could read through the whole thread and see that he's already been shot down in flames.

There is no right answer in the UK. Highway Code doesn't consider such options at all. UK doesn't implemented Vienna road convention priority to the right rules. Means you cross uncontrolled junctions carefully

    All answers are right...

So why did you/somebody grey out the triangle in the second pic?
