I crashed my pushbike on Wednesday morning
Only going slowly from home to work downhill on the road. Slowly for a couple of reasons, pushbikes scare me and I haven't found my cycle helmets yet
Last thing I remember on the bike was the handle bars and front wheel shaking, not sure why, but there are plenty of bumps on that road. Next thing I was in Bourg st Maurice hospital.
I'm still here as they won't let me go home yet as I live alone
CT scan is clear, luckily. That was the main damage I think - bumps, scratches to my head. A couple of friend from work came in on Weds afternoon and one washed most of the blood out of my hair, but I still need to give it a proper wash. I've found a couple of bruises on my legs and two small scrapes on my right ankle. My left ribs have a bit of a bruise, but quite small really. My right shoulder seems to have survived with no further damage!! I'm still getting over having a drip needle in the back of my right hand for over two days - that still hurts
Not sure about the bike. Apparently the pompiers gave it to the cycle tech at work, but I have no idea if it's damaged
It's very hot here and boring, so I'm really really hoping to get home tomorrow - then make a plan to walk to work! It seems safer!!!
