IIRC when they say you can't leave, what they mean is they can't discharge you without someone to keep an eye on you.
Nothing stopping you from discharging yourself.
Or at least thats as I understand it.

Perhaps they have different rules in France. Even in the UK, hospitals can lawfully temporarily detain a woman who doesn't have a resident carer and has a history of self-harming.
    Advice to Noggin.

Hmm, yeah... thats a different way of wording it I guess.

Puts a different slant on it when you look at it that way.

GWS Noggin and I hope you get out of the Cuckoos nest without a lobotomy.

A full frontal lobotomy. Or a full bottle in front of me?

    Self harming All accidents, honest!!

They did say they wouldn't let me leave as I live alone. To be honest I did feel woozy still, but desperate to get back up the mountain away from the heat. Damn it's hot down here, and not conducive to sleep - another reason I'm not feeling great!!

All the blood pressure, sats and temps have been ok for two days. I have a recollection of someone saying I'd need another ct scan before I go. And someone else saying I'd see the doctor this morning. But it's nearly lunchtime and I'm impatient!!!

I'm not feeling fab TBH, but I've not eaten a lot here and it has been like living/sleeping in a sauna! Once I get home I can only improve - if the third ct scan is clear!! LOL

Take your time, and take their advice - they're looking after you. You don't want to be found in a heap in a few days time. And gws too - you've had enough to cope with already.

I'm trying to be patient. But. They didn't let me home before because I live on my own - but here, I only see another human every 3 ish hours and not at all over night. But a friend at home is happy to call every hour to make sure all is well - more secure than here?

I'm now fed up as most contacts have said I can go home today yet I still haven't seen a Doctor to clear me. Despite me being told I'd see him this morning. Chances of getting home tomorrow are slim because of a cycle race blocking a lot of the local roads. So, needs to be today

I'm hot (man it's stuffy in the valley!) and bored. And want to be home with my own stuff and chilling out easier. If they say I can't work for a few more days, I'd still rather be home.

No idea if it's like this in UK hospitals but I'm proper fed up now

A blonde locked up in hospital, is better than a blonde free to cause havoc.

Patience is not my strong point!!

Finally had a conversation with the doctor. Bit scary about the time I got here. I crashed before 6am (left home at 5.50am and only takes 5 mins to get to work, so probs crashed about 5.50-5.55!!) and didn't arrive at hospital till 7.40am. Given it's approx 40 mins from roughly the area I crashed to the hospital, that still leaves an hour

The doc said I could leave tomorrow morning but have to come back in the week for another CT Scan. The first showed a small bleed near the right ear and in the right sinus area, so he wants to check that. If it still shows up I have to go to Grenoble for to see someone about that. Kinda weird as that side and sinuses all feel fine. My left ear feels odd inside but slowly I'm cleaning out dried blood, so guessing I bled into it whilst I was unconcious!!

    Can't drive or work yet

So, tomorrow I just have to be a little pushy to get the paperwork done to enable a friend to pick me up when she is down at lunchtime

I've not experienced that feeling on a bike, I suspect something came loose or jammed at the front of your bike rather than a particular bump being to blame. As well as the helmet please make sure your bike is in good condition.

Impatient or not, you seem to know better than the medical staff looking after you. Let that one sink in.

If you can't comprehend what the medical staff are doing to look after your well being, maybe wear a sign on you saying do not call ambulance/medical intervention call a homoepath instead.
