Guys Please post up any official Maps / links here:

    Hampshire

    Taken from another site

Found this statement in the local free Basingstoke Gazette today.
No mention of boats or motorcycle use.

The link at the bottom is for the new map.

HORSE riders and ramblers can now refer to a definitive map showing rights of way thanks to Hampshire County Council.

The map, available in libraries in Hampshire, shows 2,842 miles of paths for walkers and 784 miles of tracks for horse riders and cyclists.

Councillor Margaret Snaith, executive member for recreation and heritage, said: "This is the county's first new definitive map since 1964 and is the result of many years' work by a dedicated team in Hampshire County Council's countryside service.

"The new map is at a larger scale and is now much more accessible to everyone in the county. It reflects hundreds of changes to the network which have been authorised since 1964."

The map is the county's only legal record of public rights of way, and so will be used by land owners, planners and solicitors, as well as walkers and horse riders.

Hampshire County Council officially launched the map last month at Winchester Discovery Centre, in Jewry Street, Winchester.

To view the map, visit Basingstoke Library, or go online at www.hants.gov.uk/rh/row/maps/definitive-maps.pdf

as its THE number to phone and find out what parts of the plain are open/closed.
