    short, paddock style riding boots.
my A* boots are a bit too much boot for a 'hip' bike and a pain to walk in, so looking for something with some protection, but not designed to survive a nuclear blast.

I've got some a* ones I use on the tiger, they're ok.

If I'm out for a bimble on the Enfield I've got a pair of old Chelsea boots I wear and on the Vox I wear my trendy Addidas Jeans as it's got a heal change lever on it and im cool as fuck.

    Default recommend me some........

I bought some TCX boots but they are too high and a faff to keep lacing up. I kept looking for something more suitable, but then decided I only wear bike boots on a bike so just bought some short Aplinestars.

I've got some Stylemartin ones, had them about 6 years now, held up well, sole now getting worn out on the ball of the foot from metal pegs on the old Triumph

There a hundreds of variations of short boots out there now thanks to Hipsters and the whole retro look.

I've been wearing TCX Heroes for the last couple of years. They are waterproof and CE approved (although I've no intention of testing either aspect). Easy to take on and off (the laces are for show as there's a zip on one side), and are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned both on and off the bike. Definitely recommended

I have some Tcx trainers which are good. Not the most breathable off the bike though due to the WP liner. They have a little bit of protection.

But then I bought these as my main boots and rarely wear the trainers now as they are super comfy both on the bike and walking. Plus the airflow in warm weather is really good, much better than the trainers and yet in cold weather they aren't too cold. Really happy with them and noticed several jurnos wearing them in bike mags. They are almost full boot though so probably not what you want. I'm a big TCX fan though.
