    Any thoughts on this?

Battery is a bit flat, so needs a jump start. Starts fine with a jump and runs. But I think some factor alarm thing keeps triggering, resulting in all the indicators flashing - like hazards, but its not the hazard relay clicking. Sound like the relay is behind the glove box. Door open sensor so something maybe? Drenched the locks in WD but its still doing it.

    Ideas?

Neighbour's had exactly the same issue with theirs. Their solution? Sell it!

    My Mk6 did similar.

The cause was an aftermarket alarm hidden under the dash, ripped it all out, job jobbed.

If the battery is a bit iffy it can set alarms off, sort that out before pissing about with anything else.

Yeah - that may well be it. The battery is elderly. I took it (the van,not the battery) out today to test the rebuilt pitbike engine, and it did it less and less as the battery charged.
