There's a great little pub in Wilcot near Pewsey, Wiltshire with a camp ground out the back, very friendly place (Chillit and Murcan may recall we stopped there for a pint on our mini Wiltshire rideout )

http://www.thegoldenswan.co.uk/ - Should fit the bill

My SiL has a farm near All Cannings, Wiltshire, if a field with a Portaloo will do, I'll have a word.

EDIT - this sounds like an excuse for some reconnaissance.

Sounds awesome - I'll make sure I bring a camera!! Only one date I have booked, so if it doesn't clash I'll be back for it. Might have to fly but can get a lift I'm sure

We don't need permission for that, do we?

After all - we generally have a fully qualified H&S executive with us at all times (ahem, Martian).

FWIW Lumb Farm was an awesome location for fire, dogs, camping, beer, food etc.

I appreciate it's a bit of a trek from Pembrey though, and they do appear to have gone somewhat upmarket! http://www.lumbfarm.com/

Not quite as far as Cadwell Wasn't Lumb Farm partly because it was sort of middlin between the northerners and the south?

Of course he does, that isn't a fleece, it is his pelt.

That's why I didn't include it in the OP. Looks like a wedding venue now!

It always was, but they've got rid of the squash courts and made them into B&B rooms/apartments.

They might still do camping... one of the Adventure-bike/Overland organisations used to go there every year and fill it completely - I can't imagine they'd want to lose that businesss.

The camping ground is behind the pub, oh, and they've got a parrot.

I reckon its a spot on venue.
I'm happy to do a ride out and show people loads of white horses, Avebury circle, nice canal pubs etc, etc...

    Just found this... I'm in

Haven't been H&S guy for many years now, but could resurrect my role to err "oversee certain risky activities"

GP, having a word with the SIL might be a good plan - no danger of breaking rules or drunken shenanigans upsetting others?

But a good campsite or whatever, plus a trackday meet.. I might even have a bike going next year..
