A friend in the UK has been offered one of these in part ex for his car but knows nothing about bike - planning to do his test after the winter season, so is thinking he might be interested on that basis

But, he's no idea what it's worth and nor do I!!

All he's been told is its an XJ600s with 9000 miles on it. I've told him to ask the age but guessing it's likely to be 2004 at the youngest?

What is it worth in decent condition?

    Help!!

It depends if the potential buyer has ridden one.

    If they have, then 500

Divvy? Slow and horrid looking thing. Shitters pass hands for as low as free but a runner with some MOT, aye 500 sounds about right. Many a dreamer on ebay wanting 1k+ Bandit was a better bike.

Shaft drive, bland as hell, run forever with minimal maintenance and nowadays cheap as chips as long as it hasnt been in the hands of a courier first and gone round the clock as 9000 miles sounds low for a bike that age

Unless it's the newer version? Those aren't much more exciting in my book but they're newer.

Back when I was a spotty youth, I highsided a C90 in the dry. I ran away after delivering the pizza, I hate to think what state it was in. And as for the bottle of coke - I'd have loved to have watched them open that bad boy.

Anyway, XJ600s. Dull but reliable I understand. They were never popular new - even when they were selling them with 2 years insurance included in the deal.
