One of the problems with having run all one's life is seeing PBs set in one's relative youth recede into the distance. I managed 60 min 18 sec for a ten mile race once - tantalisingly close to the magic hour that you managed, but about a minute better than my second best time - but I'd struggle to do it in 1:45 these days without your kit bag, boots and weapon, assuming I could do it at all
