    I find it tough to eat well in London without spending big. Many of the chains are ok, if a little predictable. Just mooch around until you see something you like the look of and just go with it. Traipsing all over the west end is a pita.

    Matilda, on the other hand, is fab. Have a great time. The cartwheel is a bit tear jerking and Ms Truchbull comedy gold.

    I spent nearly a decade sleeping (midweek) quite literally just the other side of the wall behind the stage - was a lot louder when Chicago was on before Matilda took over.
    Our boys used to like going to Belgo Centraal which is just round the corner.
    If you like French, Mon Plaisir is worth a shout.
    The Punjab is a bit of an institution if Indian food is on the menu.
    Pretty sure much has changed in the c.3 years since I was living there though.
