    50 years. Fuck me, that makes me feel old. Growing up as a child in the US this was an integral part of my 70s and 80s televsion viewing.

    I was reading about Sesame Street recently. When one of the actors died, they wrote it into the show to explain to kids about death, namely that they don't come back. After that, they never re-ran an episode with that actor in it so as to enforce that message. Strong stuff.

    ( Sesamo Apriti is the Italian version. All I'm saying is that when learning Italian, it ain't exclusively for kids. )

    Ps it wasn't just a US thing, Sesame Street was a big thing globally for a couple of generations of children at least.

    I never seen a whole episode. The Muppets however was a league of there own however, Was there nit another program (UK) that the title VT was also a cartoon pinball machine? Im thinking a music program possibly early talent show
