So we are of course supporting Phil and Alan again this year.

But this year there's a few subtle differences from my side.

Unlike previous years, this won't be catered or booked in the same way.

    1. We won't be doing the BBQ thing
    2. People will book directly through the pbtd website at https://phil-bevan-trackdays.myshopify.com/

There's a few reasons for this I don't need to get into, but in simple terms it's a bit of a logistical nightmare for me, Ceri and Alan too.

We'll still be there, in the same place, with the same spanners, support, gazebos and having beers. But food will be from local take away, be that Indian, pizza, fish and chip, whatever. We'll be having the same gangs of TRCers getting slightly rowdy into the night and getting told off before finally getting into tents.

Me and the other experienced guys like couch and tricky will be there to put minds at rest, sort tyre pressures and whip mirrors off etc.

Hopefully this will be an event with the smaller group Friday days, if so, we'll be there for the full weekend.

Sorry if it feels a little like we're leaving part of it behind, but that's just how it is, the event is about the people, friends old and new and fun on track, none of that is changing.

Hopefully see some of you there.

I'll do my bestest - there is a small chance that I'll actually be able to ride a bike by then (operation to hopefully fix stuff at the end of May). But if I can actually earn some money this winter, I'll come anyway!! I hate that I've missed the last two!!

I could type my usual excuse. Complicated this year by first spawn moving back to the island in August. That may make it more, or less, likely I'll be able to attend.

    What he said!

I'm going to see if I can get 900SS No.1 ready before this

IanB has just bought a VFR750 so I'll recruit him and maybe another one or 2 who haven't been before.

    ( although I'll believe when I see it with the 900SS )

I'm no better though, worse really but my plan is that the 350N1 will be getting a light resto ( basically a motor and suspension refresh ) between now and then, and assuming it does, it will be providing some nice two-stroke smells out there in at least one or two sessions .

I'm also going to see if I can tempt a few of my non-TRC bikey mates out of trackday-retirement and drag them along too

Yup, bought it a year or so back for old time's sake.
Have ridden it a handful of times on the odd sunny Sunday, sorted some leaky carbs but apart from that have done naff all with it.
Bog standard ( which is how this one will stay apart from sensible bolt-on and off-able upgrades , such as rear shock etc) and as yet, never restored- don't even think the motor has been apart yet by the look of it, runs lovely but it will be getting a top end refresh over the next few months, some suspension upgrades , and the swing-arm re-painting while I'm at it , as its got a little bit of surface rust on the welds.
Am thinking I also might get a set of TSA pipes for it to pop on and off as the mood takes me too, as they alone do make such a difference power-wise .

Anyway, hopefully needless to say, but you are of course be most welcome to have a bez on it if/whenever the mood takes you

Still confuses me why we don't get to use them at all. I've used them once but never on a standard trackday.
