Or should we view this as lies, damn lies and statistics?

If you think just giving up on anyone with a pre existing condition and just leave them to die at home and keep that up until only 100% fit people are left, is a good plan, then yes its a bit ott.

Yeah of course........not really but we may be able to protect those who are more vulnerable differently if we get data through that provides a better understanding of who, in the main, is most likely to be affected. A more focused approach rather than the ‘one size fits all’.

Given, using the gross numbers in that graph, that around 20% of all male deaths and 18% of all female deaths had no pre-exisiting conditions I'd say how lucky do you feel?

Huh? That’s the analysis of the proportion of deaths by pre existing condition i.e. the 91%..........

In other news Captain Tom Moore has raised £15m by walking round his garden 100 times.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...es-garden-walk

His old regiment turned up to give him a guard of honour.

Call me sentimental but it’s a bit dusty in here. Good on him.

No that’s the analysis of the 91%, otherwise what’s the point of the over 9 in 10 people that the article is about?

Did you also conveniently ignore the last sentence in my original post? Seemingly so.....

So although an average of 19% of both sexes of all ages with no underlying health problems have died from CV-19, 90% both sexes of all ages with underlying health problems have died from CV-19?

Coz I felt like it. Why do you want to know? You seem very interested and keeping tabs on everything I post.......

Why have A&E numbers reduced so dramatically? People say it’s because of the fear if catching CV19 but surely if you’re in need of A&E then you’re in a very poor way and need medical help?

It bears a distinct resemblance to the emptiness of A&E when the doctors were on strike. I was having some outpatient treatment at the time and one of the nurses came over from A&E and said how amazing it was that no one happened to need treatment on the day the doctors weren’t available. She was being sarcastic.........and commented about how many people go who really have very little wrong with them. Therein lies the problem of free at source health care. It costs to attend A&E and the doctor in EU countries, just saying!
