Question Re: State of the roads

    Maybe this is the solution?

    • Graphene is a special type of carbon and the world's strongest material
    • The new road surfacing, Gipave, will combine graphene with recycled asphalt
    • It will be tested on an 820 yard stretch of the village of Curbridge's main road
    • The material is supposed to last more than twice as long as regular asphalt

    Time will tell I guess?

We've already exceeded our quota in Hull and East Yorkshire 10 years ago (was it really that far back) with this road. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/15...-worn-out-road The condition was blamed on the floods in 2007 and then successive freezing winters.

As long as this porous tarmac isn’t used. The developer used it in our cul de sac and said it would last 20 years. Been down 2 years and it’s c**p! It’s very good for allowing water through but just isn’t robust enough to cope with much vehicular traffic!

Oh for goodness sake, they were Pakistani. That’s their race and culture. My statement had no racism in it, just a description of the facts. Why do people always have to infer what other people mean? Get off my case!

No. They were individuals who were from the country of Pakistan and thatís where they returned to when people tried to recover outstanding debts from them. Nothing more to see here.......

It's only 40 years since you got a nice new bridge so you could get to Grimsby quicker, but still you complain! People are SO ungrateful.

Would that be the bridge that was built for the east coast motorway linking the M11 to Newcastle?

That's the one. Lovely road, and very little traffic on it.

That's because the road was never built.
