What does "uneven trophicity" mean medically?

I've googled and tried reading various places but I can't work it out??

Think it's to do with your injuries not healing back evenly, it rebreak them and start again type of thing?

    Ah... I've worked it out.

"Uneven trophicity" is a phrase commonly used by doctors to stop their patients asking awkward questions about their condition, which the dr doesn't know the answer to. "Yes, you seem to have uneven trophicity". All professions have them - even mine. In the days of card records, we would occasionally come across the diagnosis - in someone else's writing - "BIIK".

One of my (much older) colleagues in a practice in Ireland, many years ago, had a diagnosis he would use when he hadn't a clue - "I'm afraid he's got latent peritonitis. I'll give him a jab of this". Sometimes it worked, as is the way of things. Usually not.

    "Buggered if I know"....

I have absolutely no idea what this means!!! LOL

    tro·phic·i·ty

    (trō-fis'i-tē),A trophic influence or condition.
    Synonym(s): trophism (1)
Farlex Partner Medical Dictionary © Farlex 2012
    trophicity

An older term for the innate mechanisms operational in an organism—i.e., its physiology—by which it replenishes depleted nutrients (i.e., homeostasis).

Modern equivalents of the term trophicity would depend on context, they might include physiology, homeostasis, nutrition and trophism.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc. All rights reserved.

    Atrophy : wasting

Trophic: nourishment and nutrition and in medical terms..growth

Trophicity is an ancient term and I'm not entirely sure here. From say a shoulder injury, uneven trophicity could refer to muscle regeneration and strength being uneven due to surgeries and your body compensating ( say using your non injured arm more - an habitual wanker having one bicep bigger than the other )

For other areas; pass. Newer phraseology refers to homeostasis, so in your context it could be pH levels or you've taken a right pounding and one of your beef curtains is wonky.

LOL Sadly, since well before the crash, nothing - might as well be a born again virgin, so guessing that isn't the answer!

It's the challenge of trying to translate from French and then work out what it means as can't be sure the translation is using the right words

Thanx for trying tho!! (and making me laugh!!)

Just have to wait till the doctors open again and go see a gyne (guessing my fav GP is only here in the winter )

    Lolz at the last

Assuming it was originally in French, reverso context gave me this:
    trophicité - nutrition and development

Muscle wastage in specific areas is hindering your recovery because of compensation (you've adapted to minimal use of certain muscles, ligaments etc).
More physio should sort it out, but shoulders are bastard things once you've upset them so it will be a long process (hoping that you won't need more surgery, but don't discount it if your recovery will be faster.. from positive experience)
