There definitely was one. I think it's gone but there's another one somewhere now.

It makes no difference to me. What would I do with one? Go there and buy some absurd trousers?

Dont think you are still here but John (A3P) when was under the flats was partners at that time with Callum from MotoCal (Saltire Suzuki) When that partnership went tits up John went to one of the outer units. Surely that would have been a shared bill and after john retired he did the odd homer from just up the road at Dalkeith Road. Either were never that hard to find

I thought there were none but recently found 2 have sprung up. Both are small repair places with one dealing in mainly peds and 125's for secondhand sale and repairs and the other standard Jap bikes.

Had a chat recently with the bloke who is running the ped /125 place and his heart is definitely in the right place and i do hope he makes a go of it as the market is there for him as long as his couple of mechanics can turn the bikes over well enough

The other place has been going for years and used to do some basic custom stuff as well but closed for a while and has now reappeared in new different premises

It's only a reflection of the decline in motorcycling.

As a teenager we would ride out to a shop en masse just for one of us to buy a carb rubber or bolt or indicator. There's not the volume of youngsters into riding and so much more is available online.

Locally we have quite a few youngsters who seem to be out riding quite a bit in groups as we used to as kids and all keep in touch through FB pages and a group called On Two Wheels. They now run an annual bike event on Great Yarmouth seafront that started as a smaller get together a few years ago and now has the seafront closed off for a day each year and 1000's of bikes attend.

I see it as hope for the future

It can be found under Great Yarmouth Motorcycle Takeover on FB

There's only one here which seems to do mostly Chinese stuff. But they have a workshop and will fix anything. I think they do a bit of racing too. Hughes, the Triumph dealer, closed years ago. But there are half decent bike shops not too far away.
