I was woken up this morning (early for a day I don't have to get up at 5am!) by the sound of the ski falling in!!

Once I'd confirmed that at least the ceiling wasn't falling in and heard the sound of heavy rain, I tried to go back to sleep. Cue another seriously loud rolling clap of thunder!

We have awesome storms up here! I don't think I've ever heard thunder as loud as those two this morning. And I don't sleep anywhere near the window so pretty impressive!

Got a week of storms forecast, so I'm sure I'll get to watch them at some point!! LOL

Oh, and on the way back from work yesterday I saw this -

I've never seen one in real life. And so wanted to have a go!! LOL Just to see if it works and I really could go back to the 50's!! LOL

They had a car rally up here this weekend but sadly I only got to see a few cars yesterday as had worked most of the time. Did see two Caterhams leaving, they were pretty!!!

Overnight the wind was howling and this morning woke to a huge chunk of the spiky cactus plant/tree broken off.

I'm still sore and stiff from the big crash on Saturday, but had to move it all as hundreds of spiky bits break off and the dog and the 3 cats use that area and didn't want them to walk on the nasty spikes.
Had to tow the main branch with the car, to behind the villa. About 200 yards and loads more bits fell off.
4 wheelbarrow full of spiky debris.

At least I found a use for my winter bike gloves

30c today and was hard. I ache even more now, but the pets are safe.

Last day on hols today, so lazing on beach but got so hot we came into town for lunch. Now sipping icy, fruit laden sangria.

Today I had an email from the owner. Bike recovered in Greenwich, so location would have given them an area to check. Good news and he gets the bike back next week. Warm my heart that does. Hopefully the scaliwag is arrested and deprived of freedoms.

Reason I had the email is because of the below:

On Saturday my wife and I were driving along quietly and were pass by a red NC750 LJ16LMU riding at a rate of knots and swerving through traffic. I immediately commented that it was likely a stolen bike. A few seconds later cars ahead are braking with hazard light and I then see a flip lid bouncing down the road as I came to a standstill. The riders helmet had not been secured on and had come off. So we had to stop while this scaliwag collected the lid and pulled over to secure it. He was young, early twenties, blond, thin face and scraggly. A bit later I spotted him bearing down on us from behind at speed as we come to the roundabout. My wife was quick enough to get his photo, so I could get the REG No and then check. Yup, stolen! Reported location and where it was heading on the BikersReUnited site (or something like that).

Misread a lottery ticket when checked at home. Thought I'd won $17, it was actually $32 when I ran it through the machine at the donut shop
