Thought I was too old for bad hair days, but here I am looking like the bastard offspring of Gene Simmons & Phil Spector....

Scrounged a perfectly good stairlift. All I need to do now is fit it, and get Mother in a fit state to use the thing.

Took some photos to show the amount of snow we have at the moment! So I thought I'd share a few -

The path between each side of the shopping area -

The building is the Tabac - I've never seen steps up to the area in front of it!!

Usually the terrace is only a foot or two below the snow front!!

Now view of the mountains from the ground floor apartments

At least you can just about see the signage for Scotty's even if you can't see the bar!

It's normally 2 or maybe 3 steps down to the terrace!

There's usually an access path through there -

Can't clear the terrace with shovels at the moment (well, they use the snowblower and shovels!!)

    Its bloody amazing!!

Access to some of the higher resorts (Val d'Isere, Tignes, Val Thorens) is restricted quite a lot. Lots of closed roads. Today there was a message put out in my resort advising people not to drive and not to walk around on their own!

A friend manages an hotel in Tignes and it took the bus five hours to get out of resort due to road closures!

Its pretty amazing really! No one I know has ever seen this much snow at this time of year

Agreed. Whatever dance you're doing Noggin keep it up for the next 2 and a bit weeks would you...?!

Although clear roads would be good for the drive in and blue skies would be nice during the days if you think you could manage that?

They decided he needed an MRI scan to see what's going on, but he probably wouldn't gte it until the Saturday. As he recopvered quite quickly, they decided to discharge him with anti seizure pills, rather than bother with an MRI scan. Lets just hope it isn't a blood clot then!

It's amazing how wide the range of what passes for care is now. Mothers had properly outstanding care, and also been treated like a farm animal in Ireland in the past week. In the same hospital. Due to her last stay in Swindon and the fact that they basically punted her out the door, Mother now needs to go back in, so she can be fixed up and released with physio and some help with lifting and, well, me needing to sleep occasionally. I'll be on first name terms with the PALS people before long.. Good luck with the FIL, hope he's not about to slip through the net.

Tis awesome, although today is a bit rubbish as its got a bit warm, but then, this amount of snow isn't going to melt away very easily!!

I'll do my best. I think some weather god is sticking fingers up at me cos I'm not skiing this season!!! The MOST snow ever in about 20 years (certainly at this time of year!), just cos I'm being 'sensible'!!

Hopefully it'll continue then be lovely for your drive and holiday and go back to skiing on the French holidays until they go away in March!

Worked on the business, lined up another couple of potential deals, got a couple keen to see the place in Italy, going over in Feb!

Got the results from my cardiologist, I can add a leaking valve to the fucking funbag that my body is becoming!

on top of everything else I may as well just sit in a padded box
