You need something in there for scale, like a hand. Or an arm.

Walked the London marathon route overnight for cancer research. It's bloody hard going, obviously not as energetic as running it but being on your feet walking for nearly 10 hours solid takes some doing!

Fitted a new diverting valve... as you can see the old one had got a teeny bit leaky.

You walk at less than 3 mph? What were you doing, walking on your hands?

Was doing it with Mrs D, who for medical reasons struggled to walk 500m 8-9 months ago.

I think about 3.5mph is a reasonable walking pace for a normal (ie not old or physically impaired) adult. Which would be be 7.5 hours.

I perhaps should have put my initial question another way - were you enjoying the sights? it's not a criticism, 26 miles is a long way to walk if you're not used to it.

Personally I get bored walking slowly, but perhaps thats just because I'm an impatient and irritable grouch. Hope you enjoyed the walk Mr D.

TBH I would prefer to have done it in a hour less....but mostly because the last hour was in the pissing rain

Also, my Fitbit and Mrs Ds strava both reckon we actually did 45.5km/28 miles.

Did a 350 mile round trip ride in the rain to attend a charity ride. Found out my rain gear ain't exactly water proof. Got a nice wet crotch and feet. Insoles of my boots are out and the boots are stood up to dry, rain gear hanging up to dry so I can spray them all down with waterproofing shit that I can't find. Not as many riders as usual but the group brought in a little more than $50,000 USD. So well worth the experience. Any recommendations on anti fog treatments for face shields?

Wrapped up 3 days of racing in the 12 Metre North American Championship today. We didn't win. We came second. But we didn't lose to the whiners.
