Still, I had one fewer tasks as I didn't have to do the changeover in a rental. The last visitor cancelled about a month ago, and it seems I'm not important enough to be told. I've not even at mushroom level, nobody feeds me bullshit.

Boats! They suck the time (and money) out of you.

Sunday I woke up at 5, believing it was Monday...read until the alarm went off, which Gaynor slapped off and went straight back to sleep.
i gave her five minutes, a little shake, and a “morning!” She looked at me with a death glare, and dropped off again!

i was starting to worry! she never over sleeps!

i give her two minutes, then wake her up again... she snaps her eye open, squints menacingly at me and hisses “It’s fucking Sunday, why are you waking me up!!”

I had convinced myself it was Monday!!

Later I fell down stairs, nothing broken this time!

Later still I blotted my copy book once more by slightly vomiting on Gaynor!

Thankfully she is asleep now, so my opportunity for doing anything else to her.

I wonder what fresh horrors Monday has for me??

I get the day wrong all the time. Tbh I've been getting it wrong since I retired 12 years ago - I used to laugh at my Mum when she did the same thing

More seriously - have you considered a chair lift, even if only to help you going down?

I'm getting one installed here tomorrow. I hope not to need it for a while but when you need one you need it "now"

Glad you didn't break anything when you fell

    Happy Monday!

I've been struggling in mornings recently, so got my doctor to give me some more propanalol. Not needed them for years. Woke up at 8:00 feeling great. So took Elvis round the volcano. Came home feeling great so cleaned the pool and had a swim. Still OK, so planning to take the missus out on the Enduro bikes and find a nice cafe for lunch

Got out of bed more tired than when I got in it! Our new bed is shorter than the old one, which was a odd sized IKEA thing. so every time i move, I kick the footboard thing and wake myself up!

OMG I'm stressed. Well have been for months but it's so close to the season and I don't have a minibus! The transfer of the money to buy it was delayed for some reason but thta's happening now. The one I wanted to get locally only has 8 seats so that's no good. Found another about 3 hours away to go and see tomorrow and TBH if the paperwork is all there, I'll probably buy it!! Just need a vehicle!!! I plan to sell it in the summer anyway and I have a VW mechanic who can do a good check on it once I get it back. And it's through a garage so more comeback than private

But, OMG I'm soooo fed up of the stress!!!!! LOL

18 months ago my LandRover had an electrical fire. I took the dash out, re-wired it and put it all back together. Since then 2 things haven't worked

    1) the fuel gauge - no dramas, I just fill up every 400miles
    2) the front fog lights - no dramas, unlike many other drivers I see, I only use foglights a couple of times a year, y'know when it's actually foggy or there's falling snow. And anyway the ones on the back work, and they're the only ones I actually need.

I had some free time this morning, so I went over the wiring diagrams. There's a pink with black stripe wire providing the fuel sender signal. And a pink with a black stripe wire providing the 12v feed to the front fog light switch.

Sure enough, when I remade the hundreds of connections under the dash I crossed these two wires over.

Should probably have looked at that sooner...

The second of two tough days trekking north towards Namche Bazaar. For me it has been possibly the toughest 27 kms I've put myself through. Tomorrow is reputed to be a very tough day (these last 2 don't rate a mention).
    We'll see.

I did the same with the bike - g/y <> y/g, the subtle difference wasn't apparent to me. This was the coils as well, lots of swearing ....
