Not a DVD, or even filum, but Channel Five fodder I found myself unable to take my eyes from, much to my regret.....

The snippet sums up the whole programme really. Be warned.

I think therein lies the problem. Studios have cottoned on to the fact that franchises pull in the same punters repeatedly and remakes of old favourites are easy money. I can think of some notable exceptions, such as Birdman, Arrival and 3 Billboards, but cinema seems so predictable in recent years.

I read this article to other day:http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/201...ast-great-year

Would I say that 1999 was the best year for films? Dunno, but there were certainly some corkers in there.

I watched the first one and despite there being so much going on, things getting smashed, people running around, monsters monstering, magic explosions, etc, I was utterly bored. I won't bother with this one.

I felt the same. Clearly written for the American market, retconned or just plain wrote over a number of the rules written in the HP series.

Will probably watch the second one when it's available on a streaming service but not sure I'll ever add either to my HP collection.

Just watched Rocketman. I grew up loving EJ's stuff and I had all his early records. Then loved his wild entertaining concerts for many years.

The film shows him in a differing light.

This is like the Freddie film where they show a gay megastar and their life, but the films are very, very different.

    I'd say it's worth a watch
