it used to be quite a buzzing place back in the old place.

I don't have a SM anymore (or road bike ) so I'm obviously in here a lot less frequently. Is it the case that supermotos have lost their popularity? Or is everyone somewhere else?

    Just curious like

This forum is buzzier than a box full of rampant rabbits.

Nah, I think it's always been niche. I picked up an extra cylinder along the way and have a Superduke. 250EXC 2t to keep it real, but no SM wheels yet. I still hanker after one, but can't justify it (yet). Also I'd ride like a total and utter cock (more than the SD) and most probably lose my licence.

I think the rest dispersed to 17 inchers or the KTM forum.

What Hawkman said. Supermotos were never really popular, there seemed to be a group of us in the South and the Northern lot! I'm trying to sell my Superduke at the moment and shall be purchasing another SM when its gone :-)

Can't believe how quiet this forum is since I was last active here. :-( I went from a supermoto (husaberg to be precise) to a Z750 then a Buell and now a firestorm but miss the supermoto days and the crew from here.

When the old place went down sm-ers dispersed all over,a lot of them found thier way to 17inches which has since become supermotoforum.co.uk, that is by far and away the busiest uk sm forum.

I joined supermotoforum.co.uk recently. Not a particularly friendly place. I introduced myself and got nearly 80 views with just one reply!(i'm not the only new poster who has had a similar response) I think they want to improve the profile and gain more members but with such an unfriendly attitude i can't see them being very successful.

No, not yet. Superduke is provisionally sold, guy is picking it up this Sunday. Looking for a CRF450x to SM but might just buy a 'road ready' sm. 625smc's can be had for reasonable money and one of those would do me as i won't be using it loads anyway. Get yerself up here, the roads are awesome!

Took the Husky to Shropshire a few years ago, the roads were good, I stayed at a Youth Hostel that was in a valley in a weird hill called the Long Mynnd, which had some great little roads on it.

Long mynd is a little way North of me, we love to go walking up there with the kids. If you head out into mid Wales from Shropshire there are some fantastic SM roads.
Maybe we could sort out a SM weekend like the old days!

Sounds like an idea. I'd fancy a CRF myself, but struggle at the thought of letting go of the SD.

I couldn't have one again due to my lack of self control.
I'm a responsible adult now. *snigger*
