It’s spring and things are budding! Love to see all the fresh new green growth of life in these difficult times. Puts a big smile on my face.

I've been steadily working my way around "my" new Triumph Bonneville - it was actually my late FiLs bike he bought in 1972.

Today I took what I assumed to be a cover off the left side so I could clean behind it. I soon discovered it's not a cover at all, but a neat little cubby hole. My FiL always joked he couldn't ride that bike without a tool kit, today I learned that was literally true It made me both happy and sad to unroll that load of spanners he'd carefully stowed....

The toolbox was copied by Honda. Look below the side panel, a small tin with a hinged lid.

I seem to recall my mid 80's DT125 having something similar bolted to the subframe!

    If that's a recent pic, it's a very nice CB175 K6

No idea. I just used the first pic that I found.

    Not seen mine since 1978.

Planning where to put some lovely perennials that I bought and were delivered with zero contact.

Supporting our local garden centre wholesaler which is desperate to put their stock somewhere......Busiest time of year, or should be for them.

Bumped into one of my old staff from about 6 years ago. She was one of my chalet hosts when I was manager in Tignes, 27 chalets, 100 staff. Horrible season, overworked, underpaid and not appreciated by anyone (not the staff below me, not the management above me). Eventually I resigned to (with proper notice) to go and work a summer season for less hours and nearly twice the wages.

We discussed how we we're a lot happier away from that particular company...

"You were a good manager, it all went to shit after you left"

    Proper made me smile
