Hi guys new here hopefully I can get some help
    So I have just got a yz 125 2001
Reason why I got the 125 is I only have a cbt and don't have the funds for my full licence as of yet
So I want to build a supermoto to rip round the country lanes
    What do I need ?
    At the moment I have
    A yz 125 obviously
It's not road register yet but all I'm in the process
I have just grabbed some takasago excel rims with pirelli scorpion sync tyres with new bearings for what i think is a very reasonable price of 135
    a trail tech vector speedo
What else do you guys think I will need ? / and do ? Thanks

    Welcome to TRC

I don't want to be the guy who pisses on your chips, but unless I'm out of date a CBT only allows you to ride a bike up to 125cc and no more than 14.6bhp. A YZ125 makes about twice that.

until you have an accident, when your insurance is then void and you'll get done for fraud. do the YZ up, sell it an put the cash towards an XT125X or similar.

He wont be able to get insurance.

    "What bike is it?"
    "YZ125"
    "Not on our system Sir".

It'll require an insurance company that deals with 'unusual' bikes, and they'll know that a YZ125 isn't learner legal.

I insured my RM250 mx bike for the road easy, im sure a YZ wont be a problem as there's more of them registered than RM's.
