    Default Blocked injectors, how to clean them

    Mate of mine having trouble with his superduke.

    Bought a new tank which he didn't check and turns out it was full of crap. ( he found this out as the bike ran then didn't) He now has got 3.5 bar pressure at end of fuel hose but his bike won't start. I suspect blocked injectors but don't know much about them.

    Can he simply remove them and blow back through with compressed air?

    If not what is the proper procedure for cleaning blocked injectors.

    I thought most fuel injected vehicles have fuel filters before the injectors. Get ur mate to check his bike and change his fuel filter before playing with the injectors.

    We are talking tiny orifices and if dirt particles have blocked them they could be fairly well lodged. I can't see reverse flushing working, if you know someone who can ultrasonic clean them that might work.

    Then flush the system and as Steve says make sure there's an inline filter fitted.

    You can buy a reasonable ultrasonic cleaner in Aldi for under 20 at the minute, I bought one a year ago and it worked wonders cleaning up the carb internals of my last bike.
