A mechanic's seat from Machine Mart. So much nicer to do things like setting tappets, installing the above mentioned captive nut and general tinkering

Bought one of these and my mate fitted it yesterday. He is very patient Over here it never rains so the roads are always dirty and the bike in front always chucks up shit to scratch the fairing. It's got few dings already, but caught it in time

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/R-G-Secon...72.m2749.l2649

And I had to buy one of these tank grips as the new tank shape spoils the riding position. There's nowt to push against with your groin and my new leathers have them stretch panels which don't grip the tank

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eazi-Grip...72.m2749.l2649

And lastly and most importantly, I got a rear Dunlop GPRacer. I was asking the local dealer what he had and he said he'd just got a job lot of D211s which are the best tyre I've ever used. Next week's tour is gonna be fast and furious so a bit extra rear grip won't go amiss

They don't list the 2810's for the Bullet, but he reckons they'll fit... but might have to be mounted upside down.

I had 2810's on a race bike and they're much nicer and more adjustable than the normal hagon jobbies

    206.50 delivered, bargain!
Finally arrived today, just got back in from the garage fitting them...

A starter motor and a coil for the tiger 800, and fuck me don't Triumph know how to charge

at least I'll now be able to start the bike when warm without having to wait 10 minutes for the starter motor to cool down

Have you seen how much stuff you have to take off to get to the starter?

yep, plasitcs, tank, airbox and throttle bodies, it took about 3 hours to get the damned thing fitted. At one point I really thought that there was no way of actually getting it out of the frame without dropping the engine!!

It's the first time that I've worn out a starter motor though, 55k miles in 6 years

When I took mine for it's MOT at the local indy, the mechanic had one in for a new starter, he couldn't believe how much stuff he had to take off and how long it took him. He wasn't a happy bunny.

thinking about it, if I still had the original shock fitted it wouldn't have been possible to get the starter out of the frame without getting the shock's remote reservoir thingy out of the way (or maybe removed completely as well). It's tight and fiddly for sure.

Spotted these on local Facebook Marketplace ... so new and unused they still had the plastic loop around the size label for the Alpinestars labels

    How much? .... 20

I wonder if the bloke of the house knew his wife was selling them as she also mentioned she had sold his bike recently so no need for any of the kit anymore

I was only looking as my own Alpinestars SP1's are starting to wear away after a few years use and always nice to have spare gloves as i normally have a couple of pairs with me for getting soaked etc .... when i saw the price and the fact it was a couple of miles away i couldnt phone her quick enough. Some bloke apparently tried them yesterday and said they were a little tight so walked away.....of course they are they are brand new
