Thanks, chaps, and yep, I'll admit the only reason I've bought it is as I think it looks nice.

Speaking of which, more Evotech loveliness for the 790 was purchased today partly because its functional but mainly as I think it makes it look nicer - there is a lot of scope for that with this bike, and there will be more purchases...

Not bought but welded stronger plates to my rear rack so it's a lot more secure .plus point is it's not noticeable.

    Petrol, 24.80

18.68 litres for 136.8 miles. I made the mistake of working it out and it's 32.3mpg

Hmmm. 177.80 miles 12.84 litres which works out to 62.95mpg.... On my NC700X and that was riding fairly briskly as I was late for a meeting.

Briskly!! You must have the throttle pinned in S mode all the way! I don't think i ever saw under 70mpg on my 750? Mind you, I ride like a wuss!

The 700 is a lot thirstier. It does however go well enough. I did have it in S mode for a bit.... and had been rather naughty the day before riding home and playing with an R6 who could not really work out why my foot/hand was not moving (muffs) and I was zapping away smoothly....

Fitted SBS Front caliper pads. Old ones managed 4600 miles, better than the 2400 the other ones managed. I'm going to buy OEM Nissin next.

It is nice, but I must be one of the few that liked the banana too.
