I don't know what the forum rules are for this, but it will help the members so I am putting it out there (mods delete if I've been naughty) and accept my apologies.

I operate a company called Free Motor Legal Free motor legal for total motoring protection

You basically join as a member free of charge and never need to pay for motor legal protection insurance again. We also have free apps to download for iPhone and Android, which prompt you to take down the vital info post collision and also take pictures. So although you may not have a helmet camera etc, assuming you are able to function after being collected off by a cage driver, use the app to record the essential info to help make a claim or even help to fend off a spurious third party claim (such as a car which only had 1 occupant, suddenly had 4 when your insurance company get hosed down) - a pic of the other car may help to disprove the alleged occupancy levels.

So you get a free service after joining for free.

What's the catch? How is it paid for?

As regards the use of the word 'cage' to describe a car And as he said^ an email to admin is so easy it makes me wonder what the rest of your service is like.

I wondered that. You normally get what you pay for. My guess is he brokers a firm of no-win-no-fee solicitors to take your case and takes a cut of any winnings.

Feel free to correct me though. As they say, if it seems too good to be true...

Solicitors pay for (some) accident cases. They tend to add their fees to the claim rather than subtract it from the payout. Iirc.

They bill the 3rd party for costs and take up to 25% of the compo as a 'win fee' under new rules (last year) to try to reduce 'no win, no fee' exploitation and costs.

One assumes having entered into a contract, you are locked into their service and they will be entitled to make a claim for a percentage of any recorded loss. Exclusively.

Someone has to get paid, and usually you pay for this type of cover with your insurance before you even make a claim so you should be able to save a bit by opting out of that.
